Problem
Covid-19 pandemic grinded the global economy to a halt. Educational institutions were forced to abandon traditional face-to-face learning in favor of online education. Many students in Nigeria do not have access to online learning resource especially during the quarantine and do not have a way to prepare for their standardized college/university entrance exams.

Solution
A mobile application that provides secondary (high) school students with high quality video lectures and practice quizzes in order to prepare for university entrance exams.
我们提出一个移动应用程序，为中学生提供高质量的视频讲座和练习测验，以便为大学入学考试做准备。
My Role
I was responsible for experience design and interface design for the first part of the development. For the second halve of the process, I was mainly working on coding the interface of the app.

User would see the splash screen every time the app is launched.

The home screen would greet user and display user’s profile picture. User would be able to directly access the last seen video to continue learning. Also, the courses would be listed for user to start learning different subjects.
主屏幕会显示对用户的问候语，并显示用户的个人资料图片。用户将能够直接访问最后看到的视频以继续学习。此外，还将列出课程，以便用户开始学习不同的科目。
Settings is the place for user to personalize the experience by customizing profile, exam, video, and notification.

Analytics would store all of the quiz results for each course and let user to review each question in each quiz.

This is the main use case of the app. User would select a course and choose a subject from the list to watch a lesson video. After watching the video, user would be able to demonstrate his or her knowledge by taking the quiz associated with the lesson. At the end of the quiz, user would be able to review the quiz and check the answer for each quiz question.

Project Limitation and Future Work
Even though most students in Nigeria have access to phones, and would appreciate having an app that would allow them to access learning materials anywhere and anytime, there are still some limitations for the app we proposed. First, most people in Nigeria own Android phones instead of iPhones. Developing an app that only runs in iOS would not be the most ideal in reaching most of the students in Nigeria. Therefore, in the future, we plan to utilize a hybrid app development framework such as Ionic in developing the app to run on multiple platforms: Android, iOS, and web.
尽管尼日利亚的大多数学生都能使用手机，并希望有一个能让他们随时随地获取学习材料的应用程序，但我们提议的应用程序仍有一些限制。首先，尼日利亚的大多数人拥有安卓手机而不是iPhone。开发一个只在iOS系统中运行的应用程序并不是接触尼日利亚大多数学生的最理想选择。因此，在未来，我们计划利用一个混合应用开发框架，如Ionic，来开发在多个平台上运行的应用：安卓、iOS和网页。
Another constraint we encountered for this project was time. During this semester, we only learned iOS development in the second half of the course. Our limited knowledge of iOS development and the short amount of time made it very difficult for us to fully develop our app. As a result of these constraints, some of our intended app functionalities are non-functional including users’ setting customization, availability of all the lessons, quizzes, and performance analysis. In the future, we would like to polish the app and make the app fully functional as we had proposed.
